In our quest to provide high quality veterinary care as well as great service, we have assembled a veterinary health care team committed to providing both.
Dr. Bruce Garver
Dr. Bruce Garver grew up on a dairy farm in Maryland, and received his DVM from Iowa State University in 1985. He opened Kindness Animal Clinic in Monroe in 1990 and he has been the owner veterinarian ever since. Professionally, Dr. Garver enjoys surgery and dentistry, and in his free time he loves to hike, cross country ski, camp, and read historical novels. His family consists of his wife, his two college-age children, his yellow Labrador Retriever Skye, and his cat Harley.
Chrissy
Our lead veterinary technician, Chrissy, has been a member of the Kindness Animal Clinic staff since 2009. Chrissy especially enjoys working with senior pets, as well as assisting Dr. Garver in surgery, and educating clients on pet care. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Chrissy loves everything outdoors. She can often be found with her Australian Shepherd, Ash, by her side hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding and skiing. Chrissy’s pet family also includes Nikko, (Shih Tzu/Chihuhua mix), her Ragdoll cat, Chloe, and six pet backyard chickens.
Stephanie
The friendly face manning our front desk is Stephanie! She has been a part of the KAC team since 2014, and her favorite part of her job is getting to know our clients and the pets they love. Her own furry family consists of her dog Ariel, (Pomeranian mix), and her two cats: Maggie (Domestic Shorthair orange tabby) and Tito, (Maine Coon Persian mix). In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with both her human and pet family.
Hayden
Hayden has been part of the crew at KAC working as a veterinary assistant/technician since 2016. She loves the relationships she has built with clients and their pets, as well as assisting Dr. Garver with surgery. Hayden is currently working on becoming a LVT. In her free time Hayden enjoys gardening and anything plant related. She has two dogs of her own: Loki (Blue Heeler mix), and Mac (Pit bull). Her pets are what Hayden looks forward to most at the end of a long day!
Brandi
Veterinary assistant Brandi joined the KAC staff in May of 2022. She helps out with patient care, and with keeping the clinic clean and disinfected. Waiting for her at home is Igor, her nine year old Pitbull. Brandi adopted Igor from a local animal rescue when he was three years old, and they have been best friends since. Brandi is also currently going to school to become a licensed veterinary technician. In her free time, she enjoys music, and camping, fishing and hiking with her family.
Mireya
Mireya joined us in 2022 and she works hard to keep Kindness Animal Clinic spotless and clean, and our pet patients comfortable and fed. She likes helping pets who are feeling sick feel better, and nervous dogs and cats feel more relaxed with her gentle hands…and some treats! Her pet family includes Remi (on the right)…she has owned him since 2013, and Cooper, who joined her family summer of 2022. In her free time, she likes to be with her friends and family…and explore new places!
Destiny
Destiny has been a veterinary assistant with Kindness Animal Clinic since 2021, and she works hard helping Dr. Garver and the staff with pet care. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know KAC’s wonderful patients and owners. When not at the clinic, Destiny likes spending time with her pets and family – especially her son Jamison!
